A simple, showstopping grilled salmon with a sticky honey-lemon glaze. Perfectly caramelised outside, tender inside, and ready in just 15 minutes.
Instructions
Make the marinade: Whisk together the honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, and minced garlic. Season with salt and black pepper.
Marinate the salmon: Place the fillets in a shallow dish and pour over the marinade. Turn to coat all sides. Leave for at least 15 minutes, up to 1 hour in the fridge.
Preheat the grill (BBQ or griddle pan) to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates or pan.
Grill: Cook skin-side down for 4–5 minutes without moving. The skin will release naturally when ready. Flip carefully and grill the other side for 3–4 minutes, basting with remaining marinade.
Check for doneness: The salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork but still has a slightly translucent centre.
Rest for 2 minutes before serving with lemon wedges and a green salad.
