Description

The Mojito is the undisputed king of summer highballs. It’s a vibrant, herbaceous drink that relies on the magic of fresh mint. Mastering the "muddle" is the secret here—you want to release the oils of the mint without shredding the leaves into bitter bits.

Preparation Notes

Method: Muddled and stirred.

Build: Gently muddle the mint in the glass and symple syrup (or sugar) to the glass. Add lime juice and rum. Fill with crushed ice (preferred) or cubes. Top with a splash of club soda and stir from the bottom up.

Pro Tip: Clap the mint garnish between your hands before placing it in the glass—it "wakes up" the aroma for the drinker.
